Facebook Finally Launched “Facebook Dating Service”

The social media Giant “Facebook” has the joined the likes of Tinder, Match, and OkCupid on the social media dating market as they officially launch Facebook dating Service, CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg said that the dating service is aimed at building real, long-term relationships and not just for hookups.

Facebook dating service is now live in Facebook Colombia, support for other countries will roll out soon, users from other countries will be notified via Facebook newsfeed as soon as their country is supported, the desktop version is yet to be unveiled, the mobile version is quite enticing, Facebook users who are 18+ and are interested in the dating service will have to create a new dating profile which is different from that of their Facebook account followed by  introduction of oneself, some personal details, Random questions like, hows your worst day like?. etc

Also, the user of this service will need to verify their location, this enables Facebook dating service to find matches within 100 kilometers, these matches are sorted by various factors which include, Things in common, Mutual friends, dating preferences and other personal characteristics,
To maintain quality Facebook does not allow users to use their virtual location (VPN) to add friends from that region. On the privacy aspect, Facebook will only draw the name and age from the user’s Facebook profile and none of the dating activity will appear on the users Facebook’s newsfeed.

As of the moment, this service is free of any charge and is currently available in Colombia, Facebook users who are of age can opt-in and enjoy the ride,
