Dual and Triple camera enabled smart phones are on the trend, I will explain how this dual and triple cameras contribute to the sharp and overall quality of the shots and images taken on those smart phones, with your lay man’s eyes you might think it’s for decoration since only one out of the three cameras seems to be at work on these smart phone’s 🙂 , read on to find out how these dual and Triple Camera works on any smartphone.

Like I said earlier most of us have the thought that the dual and Triple Cameras are for fancy, I remembered getting into an argument with one of my fellow with a motion that Dual and triple cameras on any smartphone is for fancy, he based is argument on the fact that if you use your finger to cover the second or third camera it wouldn’t have any effect or even block the camera view, it seems he has a point right? Well he actually did but it’s from the non-techy point of view, the dual or triple camera doesn’t mean dual or triple megapixels, it does more than just grab the image, I will explain the roles of second and third camera as it regards enhancing the quality of images on those dual smart phones.

How Dual and Triple Camera Works on enabled smartphones

Alright, let’s get down to it, in general the additional cameras on smart phones are primary to enhance the quality of images and shots taken on those devices, in a smartphone with dual or triple camera there are the main camera, and the others (the secondary, third or fourth in some cases).

The Main Camera: The main camera is the primary camera of any dual or triple camera smart phone, its the camera with the Megapixel, and determines the image quality, it’s the camera that you can block with your finger and notice it been blocked, in my terms I call it the visible camera, it’s primarily purpose is to grab images and capture then, as a regular camera does.

The Second(Dual) and Third(Triple) Cameras: These are the addition cameras that most of you called fancy, well, the work of these cameras are to enhance the quality of images shot on those devices, the secondary camera is the telephoto lens, with the monochrome feature the camera adds more details and clarity to the image captured, also these second or third cameras enhances the zooming power on those devices ,in the sense that you can zoom images without loosing any kind of details or having a blurred view, since the zooming power on the primary camera is just like blowing a picture up in a Photoshop, it just make things bigger without adding details, with the aid of the second and third cameras things are kept balanced, the main camera focuses on capturing the images the third or second adds clarity or zooms the image without stressing the primary camera.

Also the portrait effect is as a result of the second or third cameras on the these smart phones, when I say Portrait effect i meant that effect that blurred the background of images.
