The tech giant Microsoft latest windows 10 update has scrapped the use of passwords as a security lock option, Microsoft believes that passwords are more vulnerable because its repeatedly used on different websites.
The new windows 10 update will utilize pin, face unlock and finger print to secure the users pc, The password option will simply disappear from the login screen, if you decide to opt in to this new “make your device passwordless” feature. Already the new release of Windows 10 insider preview gives you that option to make your device passwordless.
The password option will vanish from the login screen, if you upgraded your PC and wish to use the new lock options. As of the moment new releases of Windows 10 insider preview are embedded with this passwordless feature.
On that version of windows You’ll have to use Windows Hello face recognition, fingerprint detection, a PIN code or a physical security key to unlock your system. If the Hello feature is yet enabled on your pc, Microsoft will walk you through it the next time you sign in.
