The tech giant Google has finally named the Latest Version of the Android OS, betaed Android Q, and its ready for global consumption by smartphone users, Google has changed the norm of naming New Android OS version releases after desserts. On Thursday, Google officially announced the name of its next version of Android. Google has now decided to keep things simple and relatable for global users.

Well, if you have been observative enough and a core follower of the android platform, you must have noticed that Google always names its Android versions after desserts like Android Marshmallow, Android Nougat, Android Pie, etc. Since Android Q is around the corner, Android enthusiasts have been trying to figure out the names of dessert starting with Q, since its betaed android Q.

To the surprise of everyone, the tech giant Google has broken the 10 years old record of naming its android version after dessert as the latest android version is named Android 10, now the subsequent versions of android should follow the numbering Android 11, Android 12, etc

Google on in a blog post said

Sameer Samat, VP of Product Management, Android said, “As a global operating system, it’s important that these names are clear and relatable for everyone in the world. So, this next release of Android will simply use the version number and be called Android 10”

Although the new Google naming system for android versions sounds less juicy and yummy, according to Google, it will serve the purpose, and it will make things less confusing. Android 10 also comes with a redesigned logo with the Android robot sitting on the top, another notable change on the Android 10 is the color of the text, it also changed from green to black for better visibility, the new android 10 version will start rolling out with the new logo and design for the Global market.
