You Can Now Post Voice Note on WhatsApp Status – Here is How

Now you can post and share voice and audio recordings on your phone WhatsApp status, this new voice note feature is been rolled out gradually on whatsapp, starting with the beta users, here is how you can do that.

WhatsApp announced the launch of its Audio Status feature on the WhatsApp blog on 7 February 2023. The feature was introduced alongside four other features: private audience selector, status reactions, status profile rings, and link previews.

WhatsApp said that the use of voice notes on private chats and groups has experienced a huge increase since its introduction and that users send up to 6 billion voice notes daily on it’s platform.

The audio status feature allows users to post short recordings as statuses. These recordings can be up to 30 seconds long, and they will remain on your status until you remove them, or they expire after 24 hours.

How to Post an Audio(voice note) Status on WhatsApp

Follow the instructions below to post an audio update on your WhatsApp Status

1~ On your WhatsApp home screen and select the Status tab.

2~ At the bottom of your Status screen, tap the pencil icon.

3 ~ Tap the mic icon then record your audio status.

4 ~ When you’re done recording, tap the arrow icon to post your audio status.

Your audio status will then be posted and shared with your contacts. If you don’t want to share it with all of your contacts, make sure to hide your WhatsApp status from specific contacts.

If you are not seeing the Mic Icon on your WhatsApp status section and your app is up to date, then know that the feature is yet to be available on your WhatsApp server(region), keep checking your status options to know when it is.
