Whatsapp users can now react to messages on groups and chats with new reactions update that is rolling out gradually in all devices(android and IOS), just like that of Telegram and Instagram.
After months of testing, WhatsApp is finally rolling out its long-anticipated Reactions feature. This announcement was made by Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg on a Facebook post. With that, iOS and Android users will be able to react to a message as similarly as they can on Instagram.
The rollout Reactions started on 5th May 2022, thus can take several days and even weeks for the feature to start working for all users. As of now, people will be able to react with six different emoji: thumbs up, red heart, laughing face, surprised face, teary face, and hands together as thanks/prayer.
How To use the Reaction Feature on WhatsApp
To react to messages is quite simple, you can react to private and group messages, all you need to do is
1~ Long press on a message
2 ~ Tap to select one of the displayed emoji.
Similar to that of Instagram, users can change their reactions to a different one by long-pressing the same message and changing the emoji, or just clicking on the same one to remove it.
