Life is no longer good for the smartphone sector of LG, as they announce leaving the Smartphone business, they made this official on the 5th of April 2021, so we won’t see new LG smartphones in 2021. This has been rumored a few months back and it turns out to be true.
Here is what this means, First, we won’t see phones like the rumored LG V70 ThinQ, LG G10, or LG Velvet 2, as the company is closing its entire mobile business unit. We probably won’t see the LG Rollable the company teased at CES 2021 and confirmed would be released in 2021, either. LG calls the move a “strategic decision to exit the incredibly competitive mobile phone sector.”

LG says it’ll “focus its portable skill and create portability related innovations like 6G” similarly as a great many people are getting 5G phones
The total wind-down of the LG mobile phone business is expected to be completed by July 31, although you’ll probably still be able to buy an LG phone after that date.
The good news is that if you own an LG phone or want to buy one –you’ll be covered.
